What are the best action films to watch?

ive seen many films, including arnold s, stallone,willis,etc.. i havent seen a lot of nicholas cage films apart from con air and gone in 60 secs. what are his other best films?? and whats your favourite action film?? films these days i must say are crap e.g. quantum of solace is the rubbish bond film ive ever seen including c.royale

  1. I’m not an action fan, but I loved "Wanted" and "Eagle Eye." Also, some classics like the "Indiana Jones" and "Back to the Future" movies. That will give you a lot to start with.

  3. May I recommend foreign cinema?

    It is a tighter focus on physical action as opposed to car chases or gun fights, but the action choreography coming out of Asia is superb.

    Thailand has recently come on strong with Tony Jaa and, just last year, JeeJa Yanin in Chocolate.

    With special effects explosions, car chases, gun fights, etc, Hollywood still reigns supreme in my book. I do appreciate a lot of the improved efforts though from countries you may not expect, such as Nightwatch/Daywatch from Russia and Dhoom/Dhoom2 from India.

    There are countless well done action movies from every era and every country. I just wanted to recommend foreign cinema if you haven’t explored that yet.
