Where can you buy old grindhouse films?

March 5, 2010 - 7:46 pm 6 Comments

I used to have a collection of grindhouse movies but they got lost/stolen while moving and don’t know where to get more. I am reffering to just any type of exploitation movie, does not have to be a double feature. Thanks, and I look forward to the answers.

…first of all, you need a comprehensive list of such movies….

Crocodile • Tintorera • Cheerleaders’ Wild Weekend • Escape from Women’s Prison • The Hazing • The Redeemer • Hit List • Maniac • Ms. 45 • Alley Cat • Penitentiary • Welcome Home Brother Charles • Scum of the Earth • The Opening of Misty Beethoven • The Vampires Night Orgy • God Told Me To • Bone • Satan’s Mistress • Scream of the Demon Lover • Man From Deep River • Frankenstein’s Castle of Freaks • The Sinful Dwarf • Goliathon • Infra-Man • Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things • Black Shampoo • The Human Tornado • Switchblade Sisters • The Swinging Cheerleaders • Silent Night, Bloody Night • Young Warriors • Malibu High • The Forest • Don’t Go in The Woods • Vampyres • The Blood Spattered Bride • Mausoleum • Demons • Zombie • The Grim Reaper • The Astro-Zombies • Dolls • Crash! • Devil Woman • Lady Terminator • Don’t Go Near the Park • House on the Edge of the Park • Torso • What Have They Done To Solange? • Dolemite • Brotherhood of Death • Headless Eyes • Night of the Zombies • Silent Night, Deadly Night • Black Christmas • Hollywood Hillside Strangler • Don’t Go In The House • Combat Cops • Grizzly • The Visitor • Night of the Howling Beast • The Psycho Lover • The Toolbox Murders • Shock Waves • Burial Ground • The No Mercy Man • Rolling Thunder • Maniac Cop 2 • Vigilante • Amityville II: The Possession • Women’s Prison Massacre • The Black Gestapo • The Legend of the Wolf Woman • Invasion of the Blood Farmers • Scream Bloody Murder • Satan’s Sadists • The Northville Cemetery Massacre • The Child • The Children • Pieces • Nightmare {in a Damaged Brain} • Simon, King of the Witches • The Centerfold Girls • Night of the Bloody Apes • Blood Diner • Blackenstein • Dr. Black, Mr. Hyde • Deathdream • Satan’s Cheerleaders • The Candy Snatchers • We’re Going To Eat You • Ed Gein • Ted Bundy • Blood Feast • She Freak • The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires • The Thrill Killers • Mantis in Lace • Mondo Teeno • Barbed Wire Dolls • Hot Spur • Welcome to Arrow Beach • 2000 Maniacs • Dr. Butcher, M.D. • Cannibal Ferox • Barn of the Naked Dead • Gates of Hell • Spider Baby • The Big Doll House • Wizard of Gore • Vampyres, Daughters of Darkness • I Drink Your Blood • Blood Eaters (aka Toxic Zombies).

…then bounce these titles off of buyer sites, like Amazon or Ebay, and see what they can do for you; I guarantee that many of these titles are more than readily available (…I have virtually all of these, myself), and be rest assured that once you bounce off of these titles, others will more than readily present themselves…

Good Luck!!!

I recently seen a movie with Audrey Hepburn that came out in 1961. I am only 19, and it was the first black, and white movie i saw. I really enjoyed it. Does anyone know any other old movies that i can watch. I am looking for drama, or horror.

Where can I find old TV programmes and films?

January 23, 2010 - 8:14 am 8 Comments

Is there any way that I can find old TV programs and films to watch, download, or buy? There are some old films which were only made for TV not released on Video, have looked on Amazon, Ebay, and tried all the bit torrent sites incase anyone had taped them from TV, but can’t find them. Is there anywhere else I can look? Can you actually get them at all? Any help much appreciated.

Go to tvshowsondvd.com…..they have a listing of all the tv shows ever released on dvd….information about upcoming ones and in some, but not all cases, will show where to get them. By the way, a lot of the ones that you can’t find on eBay and Amazon, have been released by A & E and the History Channel…I’ve found some on there that I never knew were released on dvd.

Why do old films have white flickers all over the screen?

January 17, 2010 - 11:21 pm 1 Comment

I was watching an old film and noticed there are flickers all over the screen. Both white and black flickers, sometimes blob-like ones too.
Why are old films like that?

Its the re-fresh rate between each image. If you take an old tube TV and take a tape of it and watch it you will see the same thing but the new ones have such a fast re-fresh rate that it is impossible to see by the human eye.

How to copy my old films I bought on videos to have them on DVD?

get a dvd recorder with a built in video player, or by a dvd recorder and conect your existing video player to it using a scart lead.
