How can i become a person that helps the directors of movies/films pick music for movies/films?

Kind of a difficult job to get. You can become a "musical director" on a film, but they usually pick people with a musical background and you have to know people who know people. Sometimes directors will pick the music themselves, or hire a composer for the score, and the composer will help pick music that fits the feel of his/her score and vice versa.

There’s a book called Careers for film Buffs and I believe it will help u figure it out. Although I think the closest thing to making those kind of decisions you’d have to be assisant director. It’s like second command under the director.
