Can you play films that are on my computer on my TV using my nintendo wii?

I’ve seen it done before but I have no idea how, I think theres a site that links the two. Can anyone help me out?
I’ve got films on my laptop that I want to watch on my big tv that my Wii is hooked up to.
Nintendo wii Can’t play any movies CDs but PS3 Can play any disc..

nope you can’t only on xbox and ps3’s
nintendo Wii’s for babies hence the reason doesnt have anything kool

kids care more about waving a controller around than multiple entertainment options. So no the wii cannot play movies. I dont think it can even play CD’s.

If you set up your laptop to work as a web server, convert the format of the movies so they are in a format that Opera can use, embed a link to the files on a web page and navigate to the webserver on your local net work. It just might work…

Don’t listen to these people you can stream movies from your PC to your Wii using winamp.

well there is another way..you need an sd card..if the films fit in the sd you can then put it in your wii and play the vids using the picture channel. my sd has a couple vids in it right now…it works and if your films arent to big it should work…if they dont you can compress them and if you cant find a way to transfer the files from your comp to the sd get an adapter theyre like 8 bucks amazon.com
or upload them to youtube and then watch em on your wii
