Why does my laptop suddently turn off at times when I am watching a film or playing games?

My laptop suddenly turns off when I run too many programs or watching a film or playing a game.

Does anyone know why this might me the case.
Thanks for answering.

Perhaps your laptop is overheating:

You may need to clean all the vents especially the fan vents with an air duster (can of compressed air).

It is possible that your fan(s) has failed or is running slow – they might need replacing.

Also make sure you operate your laptop on a solid surface so that air can freely circulate under and around it.

sounds like you either need to reinstall your media software or you have a bad video drive go to your manufactuers website and get the latest drivers for your pc

  5. There might be several reasons why this is happening to your laptop. 1) the laptop overheats because the video or programs you have uses a lot of resources from the laptop and it turns off or restarts. 2) the games you play require a certain amount of memory and video resources that your computer doesnt have.

A solution to this would be increasing the ram of your laptop by buying the random access memory that your laptop uses. Also try to download the latest direct x software from microsoft.com, and the latest drivers from the providers of your video card. Computers always do this when they cannot keep up with the demands we imply on them, so upgrading them will prevent the random shutdowns or restarts.

I hope this helped you and if you have more questions about pc’s feel free to contact me, much luck.
