What are some good interesting and strange films?

I like movies that are a little out there conceptually and that take some intellect to understand. What are some good films?
I like: Pi, The Fountain, A Scanner Darkly, There Will Be Blood, No Country for old men.

Really complex characters usually make the movie for me.
Thanks!

The Fountain is the crappiest movie I have ever seen.

Requiem for a Dream
Donnie Darko
Fight Club
Bringing out the Dead
umm yea I don’t really know.

    Mulholland Drive.

This film has been quoted by top critics as a complete "mind f*ck." Basically, any David Lynch film is… but Mulholland Drive is his best.

You seem to have a love of films that delve deeper than your average blockbuster. Movies by Terry Gilliam would fall into the complex, off-the-beaten-path area that you seem to enjoy. Brazil, 12 Monkeys and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are a few of his most popular.

I know it sounds like fluff (and most of it is) but you may enjoy Michael Rosenbaum’s complicated portrayal of Lex Luthor on the CW’s "Smallville". You can rent the DVDs and simply fast forward any scenes that don’t have Lex. It is one of the darkest and most complex characters I have ever seen.

"Run Lola Run" and "Living in Oblivion" are inde favorites and definitely fill the "strange" section.

    Hope this helps!
