it’s quite funny because I wouldn’t trust the film recommendation of two of the greatest and most innovative directors of our time, tarantino and scorsese. But maybe the reason they have such strange taste is because their minds work differently to ours, and that’s why their great directors

Scorsese’s list is just weird. ‘Bottle Rocket’? ‘Bad Lieutenant’? are you kidding me? ‘Crash’???? The only two films on Marty’s list I even like were ‘Fargo’ and ‘The Thin Red Line’…the others were just ok. Actually, ‘Crash’ and ‘Bottle Rocket’ sucked.

I think that, yes, being a Kubrick film, it had to be inescapably praised. They couldn’t taint the last movie of his life, it would be grossly unfair to the master. My two favorite 90s film would definitely have to be Heat and The Usual Suspects.
