What are they? according to you? or any exceptionally GREAT films/musicals or whatever

thanks x x

I decided to just go with ones that have received Best Picture because otherwise HOLY moly that would be a long/tough list…

Lord of the Rings- Return of the King :)

An American in Paris (1951)
West Side Story (1961)
My Fair Lady (1964)
Sound of Music (1965)
Forrest Gump (1994)
Oliver! (1968)
Shakespeare in Love (1998)
Crash (2005)
The Departed (2006)
Chicago (2002)

If you want some awesome musicals, I would seriously look at movies from the 40s, 50s, 60s. Things like On the Town, Singin in the Rain, Anchors Aweigh (I’m a big Gene Kelly fan…) Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, White Christmas, etc. Such classics, and movies were just so… romantic and beautiful back then!! :) (Those were all Oscar winners of some sort as wlel)

EDIT: Oh heck, here are some more, even though they didn’t win Best Picture :)

Atonement (2007)
Hello, Dolly! (1969)
Boys Don’t Cry (1999)
Goodfellas (1990)
Fiddler on the Roof (1971)
Erin Brockovich(2000)
Oklahoma! (1955)
Apollo 13 (1995)
The King and I (1956)
Dead Man Walking(1995)
Moulin Rouge (2001)
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Cabaret (1972)
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
South Pacific (1958)
Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Pan’s Labyrinth (2006)
Emma (1996)
Sense & Sensibility (1995)
Finding Neverland (2004)
Brokeback Mountain (2005)
Wizard of Oz (1939)
Beetlejuice (1988)
Black Hawk Down (2001)
Camelot (1962)
Little Women (1933)
Moonstruck (1987)
Walk the Line (2005)

And don’t forget the animated ones… Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Dumbo, Finding Nemo, Wall.E, The Lion King, Pinnochio, Shrek, Tarzan…
