Top Films of 2009! What about you!?

March 1, 2010 - 5:20 pm 10 Comments

It was really difficult for me to rate this list (still unsure about the ordering of top 5 and top 10) so I decided to make it a top 15 instead in order to include all the films I enjoyed. What were some of your guys’ favorite films of the past year? Mine were:

1.) Mary and Max
2.) Precious
3.) Fantastic Mr. Fox
4.) An Education
5.) (500) Days of Summer
6.) Up in the Air
7.) Inglorious Basterds
8.) Sin Nombre
9.) A Serious Man
10.) Star Trek
11.) Avatar
12.) District 9
13.) Up
14.) The Hurt Locker
15.) Ponyo

500 days of summer should be #1!!!! but i like your list

The 100 Cheesiest Movie Quotes of All Time

February 27, 2010 - 5:21 pm 5 Comments

A celebration of some of the greatest ‘cheesiest’ movie quotes of all time. First featured on Pajiba.com. Sit back, relax and take in all the wonderful fromage…for list of films click (more info)…

One mans cheese is another mans gold… “cheesy” is a very subjective word and can be used in many different contexts. And there is such a thing as good cheese… a quote can be both epic and cheesy! Also, just because I’ve included a quote from a movie, it doesn’t imply that I think the movie itself is ‘cheesy’, more the line chosen qualifies… I happen to love a great deal of the films listed here.

Films featured in order of appearance:

American Beauty, Batman & Robin, Gigli, Batman & Robin, Showgirls, Troy, Star Wars, G.I Jane
—1m– Love Story, Cast Away, Star Wars, City of Angels, As Good As It Gets, Pearl Harbor, Titanic, Ever After, Death Race, The Covenant, X-Men 3

I am trying to build a library of great 80s films. I enjoy fantasy and teen comedies. Especially the raunchy ones like Porkys. Give me your top ten list. I want to see if I have missed some gems, and if you have some interesting titles I have not yet checked out I’ll give you the 10 points.
